We are excited to confirm the following guest speakers who will be presenting at the South Pacific Passive House Conference:
Architect, Sebastian Moreno-Vacca, has greatly contributed to the world of Passive House. He co-founded and edited the 'be.passive' magazine and was integral to the establishment of a mandatory passive house standard in the Brussels Region during his seven-year presidency at the Platform Passive House. Today Sebastian splits his time between his Brussels office and a new venture he co-founded in New York, A2M Architects, and teaches at the university faculty at ULB architecture which he has been doing for the past 15 years.
Chris is a Green Building Planner with the City of Vancouver focused on making energy efficient building codes that help to achieve Vancouver’s 100% renewable goal. Chris also works on reducing greenhouse gas emissions through re-zoning policy for new buildings and creating incentives for existing homes. Chris previously worked with the Canada Green Building Council, helped develop the Canadian standard, launch a national network of service organisations and when he departed the LEED Canada for Homes program had thousands of Certified homes.
Bronwyn Barry has had a huge impact on Passive House internationally. A certified Passive House Designer and registered architect based in San Francisco, she is also a founding member of both Passive House California and the North American Passive House Network. She served as the Chair of the Passipedia Committee for the International Passive House Association and currently serves as President of the North American Passive House.
