EFFICIENCY: THE FIRST RENEWABLE ENERGY

APHA is proud to announce its Chairperson, Chris Nunn, will be speaking at the joint presentation ”Efficiency: The First Renewable Energy" at COP26 in the digital EU Pavilion on 5 November 2021.

Chris will be speaking to association growth and capacity building, Passive House in hot climates, energy prices, and the need for energy efficiency.

Asquith Passive House is the first certified Passive House Premium building in NSW, the highest level of certification possible.

It is also a pilot project in the GBCA’s GreenStar Homes program and the first home to secure a CEFC-backed Bank Australia Clean Energy Home Loan using the Passive House Certification pathway.

APHA NCC PUBLIC COMMENT

APHA supports the trajectory towards zero energy (and carbon) ready buildings. Specifically, this mandates that energy efficiency provisions are substantially updated in NCC 2022 and 2025 to facilitate progress towards zero energy (and carbon) ready buildings.

However, it is evident that further work is needed to ensure the trajectory towards zero energy (and carbon) ready buildings is achievable.
