Get to Know your New Board Members 

APHA has announced the appointment of two new board members to the board of directors: Rory Martin and Talina Edwards!
Talina, Principal at Talina Edwards Architecture and Certified Passive House Designer, will join our Partnerships and Major Events team. Rory, Sustainability Manager at Frasers Property Australia, is taking up the the role of Company Secretary.

EDUCATIONAL EVENTS

Would you like to become a designPH PRO? 

Presenter Marcus Strang leads this online workshop where he will share his tricks, tips, and experiences that will ensure you are maximising your use of this software. This workshop will demonstrate how a building model can be rapidly set-up using DesignPH & PHPP to receive preliminary feedback on the energy performance of your building design. 
Providing flexibility to the designer to improve the decision-making process, you will learn how to interrogate the model, optimise the design, and model complex building geometries and shading situations. 
This online workshop will be held in three sessions over three weeks from 5pm-7pm, Tuesdays 2, 9, 16 March 2021.

The Architect Victoria Magazine

A publication released quartely by the Victorian Chapter of the Australian Insititute of Architects has done a special Climate edition,  guest edited by Stefan Preuss of the Office of the Government Architect (OVGA).

APHA board director for Partnerships and Major Events, Kate Nason contributed an article on page 52 which focuses on Passive House. It is fantastic to see PH beginning to be recognised at a state level!
