THE ICE BOX CHALLENGE SYDNEY

Learn about the benefits of Passive House at this fun and interactive installation to be held Martin Place, Sydney from 21 February to 4 March 2022. Two boxes will be filled with an equal amount of ice and displayed for public viewing in Martin Place for a two-week period. One box will be constructed to standard Australian building regulations, while the other will meet the international Passive House Standard.

Our recent PH Exchange event took attendees on the journey of the ground breaking build, Hempcrete Passive House. And ground breaking it certainly is - constructed from 300mm carbon-hungry hempcrete walls, the building both breathes and retains an internally stable temperature all year round.
